Comments: Washout. In the event of wet weather or lighting failure the conditions of Rule 26, shall still apply, unless the Captains agree to an abandonment of play (see Rules 36 and 42(a)). (36) In determining the games lead possessed by a team at the time the match is abandoned, ALL GAMES MUST BE COUNTED, including those of any unfinished sets. If, in the event of wet weather ... any home and away match is, by agreement of the captains, abandoned, whether commenced or not, each side will score two (2) points UNLESS at the time of abandonment, one team had an unbeatable lead. A draw was still a possible result at the time of the washout.
